WA- Industry comments invited on proposals for supervision of electrical apprentices

Postby Vested Utility » Sat Aug 05, 2017 10:36 pm

In March and April this year, EnergySafety sought comments on a range of proposed changes to:

the Electricity (Licensing) Regulations;
the EnergySafety publication Safe Working Guidelines for Electrical Workers; and
the EnergySafety publication Safe Working Guidelines for Electrical Apprentices.
A number of submissions were received regarding the effective supervision of electrical apprentices. As a result, EnergySafety has developed further related revisions and decided to conduct a second round of consultation on this matter.

A discussion paper on the new supervision proposals is available on the EnergySafety website.

Your comments on the proposed new regulations and guidelines would be appreciated.

The closing date for comments is 5pm 25 August 2017.

Comments should be addressed to:

Mr Saj Khan
Director, Policy and Electrical Engineering
EnergySafety, Department of Mines, Industry Regulation and Safety
Locked Bag 14
Cloisters Square WA 6850
or by email to [email protected]
